1. Black night sky, ISS, red ECG trace line and the golden star and stripes of the astronauts with the Irish flag are all self explanatory.

2. The subtle part is the stars.
Left side:
- 3 white stars beside the moon represent the astronauts lost from Apollo 1.
- The remaining 7 white stars and one red star represent the astronauts from Challenger and Cosmonaut from Soyuz 1 which are shaped in the constellation Phoenix (The legendary bird that when it dies is reborn from its own ashes)

Right side:
- The 7 white stars and 3 red stars represent the astronauts from Columbia and Cosmonauts from Soyuz 11 which are shaped in the constellation Pegasus (the ancient animal which was the only one that flew to the top of mount Olympus)
